Andy & Outi

Back in August I shot a wedding for Andy and Outi. It was a lovely informal affair set in their back garden with a marquee and caterers. The theme was definitely a vintage one with scatterings of pink flowers all over the place and chalk board labels (which is something I did at my own wedding so I am definitely a fan!). It was a really relaxed day, with a lot of emotion which made it one of my favourite weddings to shoot to date. Outi is Finnish, and it was really interesting to have the Speeches read in Finnish and then translated to English. Beautiful couple, lovely day.

Here are a few photos from the day...

A few work bits from 2013

Hello everyone!

Been a little behind with my blogging, its been a strange/unpredictable year. I lost my wonderful father to Cancer after a very short battle, and thought I should mention him and thank him publicly for being the greatest Dad ever and making me the person I am today. He was the perfect role model and I am eternally grateful for everything he has done for me.

As I am a little behind I thought I'd merge a few of my jobs in together to save time!

In January of this year I did a really cool shoot for Benefit Cosmetics in a funky studio just off Oxford Circus, London. The shoot was with Maggie and Annie Ford-Danielson the Global Beauty Authorities & HSN Ambassadors for Benefit Cosmetics, and also the daughters of Jean Ford the creator (twin of Jane Ford, also the creator of B.C). The ladies were picture perfect, well they would be having such a glamorous job and really were a pleasure to be around all day! Tom shot the "How To" video of them demonstrating how to create the perfect looks for different occasions and I did the Behind the Scenes to be used for their Blogs. Definitely one of my more enjoyable jobs, always love working with the Bene-team!

The next job I felt should get a mention was in March, in Amsterdam. It was a real honour to be booked to shoot the infamous footballer Pele in the very Hilton where John Lennon wrote Imagine (Click here to see the original room before licks of paint etc). My Dad was so proud! It was a very humbling experience and he was such a lovely man. I remember half way through the shoot (which was of him on the bed in the hotel suite holding his new Pele football), I laughed and said "Well, I can tell you've done this before". It was all very surreal, probably the highlight of my career to date. Not very many people can claim that they've worked with such an infamous person in such a special location, I feel very honoured.

Here is the main photograph from the shoot..

Until next time! x
